A tribute befitting a giant of a man.
When Congressman John Lewis died, an effort to create a tribute to his life and legacy began. Dekalb County and the City of Decatur have engaged a joint task force to help create an inclusive and inspiring tribute in the district where he served.
Together they’ve reserved a space for this tribute in front of the Historic Dekalb Courthouse in Decatur. The Courthouse, which is also a part of the story of civil rights in America, is located in the district Congressman Lewis served for 17 consecutive terms.
They’ve also partnered with Legacy Decatur, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, to establish the John Lewis Tribute Fund and collect tax-deductible donations towards the creation of this much deserved tribute.
Play a role in honoring a man who gave so much. Learn more at the Lewis Tribute website, then make your donation today. Details below.
