Legacy Park Stewardship Fund

Legacy Park’s trees provide more than just beauty. Or solitude. Or recreation. They’re a critical part of the park’s ecosystem, nurturing a diverse array of wildlife habitat.

Add to that their capacity for absorbing and sequestering carbon dioxide, reducing temperatures, and filtering stormwater and you’ve got a finely tuned environmental asset of incalculable value.

Through our partnership with Trees Atlanta, we’re not only removing invasives to restore the health of the forest, we’re continually investing in new plantings throughout the property.

These efforts take money, which is where you can help the most. We’ve got three suggested levels of contribution, or choose any amount you’d like. We welcome and appreciate all forms of support, including volunteers.

Seedling Level: $25
Funds environmental stewardship efforts at Legacy Park.
Donors receive recognition in Legacy Park’s monthly email newsletter.

Sapling Level: $150
Funds tree planting and tree care across the property.
Donors receive recognition on the Legacy Decatur website and in Legacy Park’s monthly email newsletter.

Canopy Level: $500
Sponsors a specific tree planting at Legacy Park.
